Tattoo Aftercare Advice

Please read thoroughly.

Your artist will wrap your tattoo before you leave the studio.

Keep this wrap on for a minimum of 2 hours

or until the morning after your appointment.

Cleaning Your Tattoo

1. Wash your hands thoroughly before touching your tattoo.

2. Gently remove the wrap and rinse the tattoo with room temperature water.

• Use your fingertips in light circular motions to remove any residue.

3. Apply a tattoo-specific soap with clean hands. Lather into a foam, then rinse until all soap is gone. • If you don’t have tattoo soap, just use water.

• Never use generic soaps, scrubs, or scented products.

4. Pat dry with disposable kitchen towel (we recommend Plenty brand).

• Do not use bath towels or face cloths.

• Never rub always pat dry.

Repeat this routine morning and night for the first 3–4 days, and any time your tattoo gets wet.

General Healing Guidance

• Avoid submerging your tattoo in water (baths, swimming, hot tubs).

• Keep showers short and not too hot.

• As your tattoo begins to feel dry or itchy (varies by person), you may start applying a tattoo balm: • Use clean, dry hands.

• Apply a very small amount- less is more.

• Gently massage in until fully absorbed.

• Do not use scented lotions or antiseptic creams. • Our studio stocks tattoo-specific aftercare balms which we recommend.

Your body knows best, apply balm only when your skin feels like it needs it. Even once healed, regular moisturising will help keep your tattoo vibrant.

Important Do’s & Don’ts

Let your tattoo breathe, expose it to air when possible.

Wear loose cotton clothing if covering is necessary.

Keep your tattoo away from pets and pet hair.

Do not pick or scratch scabs.

Do not use sunbeds or fake tan while healing. Avoid strenuous exercise during the healing process.

Do not over-moisturise.

Signs of Infection

While rare, infections can occur.

Please contact us immediately if you notice:

• Redness or soreness that subsides then reappears.

• Skin that feels extremely hot, tight, or swollen.

• Red streaks spreading out from the tattoo.

• Weeping, pus, or unusual discharge.

• Hot/cold chills, fever, or swollen lymph nodes.

Early treatment is always best.

Touch-Ups

Sometimes tattoos need a touch-up.

• Healing, placement, and style can affect this.

• Touch-up sessions carry a £30 set-up fee, which may be waived at the artist’s discretion.

• If booked alongside another tattoo, the fee is automatically waived.
